27 arrested during Orange County warrant round-up

Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies rounded up 27 suspects with outstanding warrants on Monday, Oct. 6, during an unannounced warrant round-up covering all of Orange County.

According to a news release from OCSO, the focus of the warrant round-up was to locate and apprehend fugitives of Felony and County Court Misdemeanor warrants in Orange County. There were 34 felony and 11 misdemeanor warrants served. The criminal offenses ranged from Felony Theft, Burglary, Assault, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Forgery, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Felony DWI, along with various misdemeanor violations.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Vidor and Orange Police Departments, along with the United States Marshall’s Service Fugitive Task Force. These unannounced warrant round-ups are part of an ongoing operation to reduce the number of fugitives in Orange County and help bring justice to the victims of these crimes, OCSO reports.
