Aggravated robbery at Chicken Express

Beaumont police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in finding three suspects responsible for the aggravated robbery of Chicken Express in the 7000 block of Highway 105 on Jan. 25 at about 10:30 p.m., the Beaumont Police Department reports. 

According to a news release from BPD Officer Tony Harding, an employee was taking the trash to dumpster after closing the store for the night when he was approached by three armed male subjects. The employee, who was reportedly holding the nightly deposit, was forced to hand the armed men the money and his cell phone. After receiving the money, the men ran away, and the employee went back inside to notify police.

Responding officers set up a perimeter and attempted to track the suspects with K9 units, but investigators only recovered the empty bank bag and the employee’s cell phone.
