Aggravated robbery at Little Cypress convenience store

Orange County sheriff's deputies are searching for suspects in the aggravated robbery of a convenience store in the Little Cypress area, reports the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

On Dec. 18 at about 10:48 p.m., the office received an emergency call from a store clerk working at the LCM Food Mart located in the 8200 block of North Highway 87 in Orange County. The clerk told the dispatcher that the store had just been robbed at gunpoint by two unknown armed black males wearing masks. The clerk reported that the suspects entered the store, one brandishing a handgun and the other a baseball bat, and demanded money from the register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects were said to have fled on foot. After a search of the area, deputies were unable to locate the suspects.

No one was injured during the robbery, reports OCSO. Investigators are still gathering information, according to the release, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
