Altus opens emergency health care center in Lumberton

Cutting the ribbon for the grand opening of the Altus Emergency Center

Thursday, Jan. 9, local residents and officials cut the ribbon on the new Altus Emergency Center in Lumberton.

“We are pleased to bring this first-class facility, along with a team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses, to serve the residents of the Lumberton area,” said Kevin Herrington, regional executive vice president of Altus Health.

The Altus Emergency Center in Lumberton at 137 North L.H.S. Drive is open 24/7 and services offered onsite, include x-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds and other lab procedures in the emergency room.

The facility has been developed in partnership with Southeast Texas Medical Associates. The Lumberton facility is the second freestanding emergency center for Altus Health; the first emergency center was opened in Baytown in September 2013.
