Attempted kidnapping in Orange

On Thursday evening, officers from the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the area of Bob Hall near Clairmont in reference to an “unknown disturbance” that was later listed as a kidnapping, according to a report.

Once officers arrived on scene they made contact with a white female who provided a description of the incident. The woman said she was walking from her residence when a known male subject approached her in an unknown truck, according to the report. The man allegedly exited the vehicle and used physical force to place her in the truck. The victim said the man then drove away from the area, but she was able to escape from the vehicle and run away to safety.

The woman was otherwise unharmed during the event, except for a minor abrasion to her right pinky finger. She told officers she wasn’t injured and didn’t wish to press charges or for the police to be involved.
