Baby-faced fugitive sought in series of robberies, brutal assault

The Jefferson County Fugitive Warrant Division is requesting the community’s assistance in locating a dangerous fugitive. Tyaus Roy Wells, 18, is wanted in a series of robberies in the Avenues Area of Beaumont. The crimes have become more aggressive, according to the sheriff’s office. The latest crime, which occurred in the 2100 Block of Victoria, involved a firearm and beating requiring hospitalization of the victim with a broken jaw, broken eye socket and numerous lacerations.

Tyaus Wells is 5-feet-7 and weighs about 145 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous. He has a violent criminal history, and no attempt should be made to detain or capture him. Anyone knowing his location is requested to contact Crime Stoppers at (409) 833-TIPS (8477) or Jefferson County Fugitive Warrant Division at (409) 835-8411. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information leading to the location and arrest of Wells or any wanted felony fugitive.
