BASF TOTAL brings STEM week to Port Arthur middle school

Along with many other cities around the nation celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) week in October in local schools, BASF TOTAL Petrochemical's African American Employee Group (AAEG) celebrated STEM week in Port Arthur.

AAEG hosted a BASF Kids' Lab at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Students had the opportunity to gain a hands-on learning experience by working on STEM-related projects and interacting with AAEG members.

This year was also the tenth anniversary that BASF has sponsored the You Be the Chemist challenge. In a statement, BASF said, "Continuing a partnership with the first school to locally be involved [with the challenge] was a great experience for BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals' AAEG."
