Beaumont Animal Care anounces euthanasia decline

Beaumont Animal Care (BAC) has released their euthanasia rates for the period of January through May for 2018.

BAC’s percentage of animals euthanized has declined from 51 percent in 2016 to 21 percent for the same time period in 2018. BAC has been working to reach the goal of 10 percent or less of animals euthanized in the shelter. To meet this goal BAC is asking the public to consider adopting a pet from them. BAC says that they have many “wonderful” dogs and cats that are all fully vaccinated, micro chipped and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

The animal shelteris located at 1884 Pine St. and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
