Beaumont burglar busted


Beaumont Police report they caught a man in the act as he burglarized a local business in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 17.

According to a news release from BPD, officers responded to a burglary alarm at  Sunshine Tobacco located at 2115 Calder St. at approximately 5:18 a.m. Upon arrival, officers noticed the drive-thru window on the east side of the building had been forced open. Officers entered the building and located 24-year-old Ronald Coleman of Beaumont inside the business, police report. Coleman was arrested for burglary of a building and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
