Beaumont firefighters extinguish burning warehouse

Firefighters in Beaumont extinguished a fire at a commercial structure on Gulf Street on Sept. 15, a fire they believe was caused by a short in the building's attic, Beaumont Fire-Rescue Capt. Brad Penisson reports.

According to Capt. Penisson, Beaumont Fire-Rescue received multiple calls reporting a blaze at the office/warehouse building at about 6:40 p.m. When firefighters arrived at the location, they discovered smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building. Firefighters launched a quick attack and were able to contain the fire to a part of the attic of the building. No one was in the building at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.
