Beaumont man arrested for serious injuries to elderly female

Beaumont Police Detectives have worked extensively on a case involving an elderly female that was assaulted, causing serious injuries. Beaumont Police arrested Walter Wilson, 39, from Beaumont, Sgt. Cody Guedry said in a release.

On Sunday, April 29, around 1 p.m., Beaumont Police received a call in reference to an elderly female with extensive injuries in the 3700 block of Pointe North who was later transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

During the investigation, it was learned that the elderly female, 68, from Beaumont, was confronted by the suspect leading to a physical altercation. The elderly female suffered a fractured neck, fractured wrist, and a brain bleed.

At this time, the female is in stable condition and the suspect Walter Wilson has been booked in at the Jefferson County Jail on injury to an elderly individual with a $250,000 bond.
