Beaumont man sentenced to 25 years

According to a press release from the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office, 35 year-old Travis J. Guillory, who last resided at 3095 Roberts St. in Beaumont, was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in the state penitentiary in connection with a 2011 narcotics investigation.

Guillory was apprehended in a drug bust March 16, 2011 at 2460 Park St. in Beaumont. He was in possession of 20.95 grams of cocaine, a pistol and counterfeit money. Guillory had three prior drug felony convictions.

“I applaud the jury’s decision,” prosecutor Christopher Cadena said. “It speaks volumes about the character of our community and how they feel about repeat drug offenders.”
