Beaumont police arrest eight for drugs

Beaumont Police Department Narcotics Division, along with SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), SAU (Special Assignments Unit), and K-9 units, executed two search warrants in the 1100 block of Avenue A on Sept. 10, reports the Beaumont Police Department.

According to a news release from BPD, officers located powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA, and codeine at 1111 Avenue A. They also discovered several handguns and cash.

At 1107 Avenue A, officers located powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and synthetic marijuana.

“We have zero tolerance for this activity that tears communities apart,” BPD Sgt. Cody Guedry said. “We continue to work as a team with the citizens of Beaumont and appreciate the community’s help with the goal of eliminating these drugs from our community.”

Officers took eight people into custody between the two residences. Police arrested Kerry Ardoin, 25, Michael Ardoin, 29, Kody Ardoin, 20, Christopher Darbonne, 52, Zerrick Walker, 28, Elton Collins, 28, Ashton Randolph,19, and Diontae Randolph, 21. Information obtained from a criminal database shows that each of the eight individuals have prior arrests, and many of them also have prison records. Previous charges against the eight suspects include felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, aggravated sexual assault, evading arrest, harassment, burglary and felony robbery, among others.
