Beaumont Public Library System announces Summer Reading Club 2017
Story Attachment:

"Build a better world" with the Beaumont Library's Summer Reading Club 2017, City of Beaumont spokesperson Rosanna Mojica said in a release.

Summer is almost here, and that means summer reading club!

The library has lots of fun programs scheduled this year – magic shows, live animals, music, sand sculpture, story tellers, arts & crafts, and more! At each program, we will be giving away t-shirts, books, and other prizes.

But reading club isn’t just programs – it is reading! We have incentives to get those reluctant readers to pick out a few good books. In addition to other prizes, each library will be giving away a bicycle as a grand prize. The more a child reads, the more chances he or she has to win.

Children will also receive coupons for free items at Chick-fil-A, Sertinos, Waffle House, Fuddruckers, Chipotle, or free passes for Spindletop / Gladys City Boomtown Museum, Texas Energy Museum or Manning’s Texas on Wheels each time they reach a reading goal.

The fun starts June 1. Come to any library to sign up and get everything you need to get started. Beginning May 22, you may pre-register online, then come to the library after June 1 to pick up your information packet.

Reading club is for children up to age 18. Children under age 3 are not eligible for the prize drawings.
