“I wanted to have an event where I could get a large number of people together for Alzheimer awareness,” said event organizer and Beaumont native Susan Conn McCurry. “I want the night to be fun instead of dwelling on the sad news of the disease. I have been affected personally by this disease — my father C.W. Conn Jr. and uncle George Conn have both passed away due to Alzheimer’s. Not only is there a need for a cure, but a need for help and facilities for the patient and the caregiver. My goal for this event is to bring awareness and hope that some people may give to the Alzheimer’s Association”

Foxworthy is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and best selling author of more than 26 books. He’s been in numerous movies and hosted several television shows including Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

Engvall has also hosted numerous television shows including the game show Lingo for GSN, Country Fried Videos and Mobile Home Disasters for the CMT network. He will voice an animated character in a new show for CMT currently titled Bounty Hunters, which will begin airing in the spring of 2013.

Larry the Cable Guy created the Git-R-Done Foundation and has donated more than $7 million to various charities. Currently, Larry is the host of Only in America With Larry The Cable Guy on the History Channel.

Kayla Conn is a singer, guitarist and songwriter who has been performing since the age of 10, and writing her own music since the age of 12. This year, Kayla has had the honor of joining Gloriana, Love and Theft, and Scotty McCreery on stage. She recently finished her iTunes release and music video “Memory for Two.” The song, dedicated to her grandparents, raises awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and was co-written with Brian White and Karyn Williams. “Memory for Two” can be found on iTunes and YouTube. Kayla’s first full length CD, produced by Blake Bollinger, will release this April.

Ford Arena is at 5115 I-10 in Beaumont. For more information, call (409) 951-5400 or view fordpark.com.
