BPD searching for suspect who robbed Subway

Robbery suspect

On Friday, October 23, 2015 at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers of the Beaumont Police Department responded to a robbery at  the Subway located in the 6100 block of College Street. According to a press release, a Subway employee told officers a large black male entered the store and asked the employee for a cookie. The man is described as approximately 6 feet tall, with a “fade beard”, in his mid to late twenties, and was wearing a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses, and a black t-shirt.  As the worker retrieved the cookie, the suspect pointed something in his hand that was concealed by a beanie at the worker and advised, “Give me all the money!”  The employee feared it was a gun and the suspect was able to gather an indeterminable amount of money from the cash register.  He then thanked the Subway employee and fled the business on foot, north bound.  Witnesses did not see if he got in a vehicle or continued on foot.
