Breaking: Robbery at Safe Credit  Union in Beaumont

A knife-wielding suspect in Beaumont robbed Safe Credit Union on 11th Street this morning, Aug. 7, at about 9:35 a.m., Beaumont Police report.

According to Officer Carol Riley, a black male in a blue hoodie and dark mask entered the credit union brandishing what police describe as "a large folding knife." The man was reportedly had a baseball cap on under the hoodie. The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash, along with a dye pack from the bank. The man fled in an unknown direction, and detectives are on the scene investigating.
