Car stolen at gunpoint on Beaumont's south end

Dec. 8, Beaumont Police said officers investigated an aggravated robbery that occurred at the intersection of Grant Street and Irving Avenue.

Beaumont Police responded to the 1000 block of Grant Street around 9 a.m. in reference to a victim who was robbed at gunpoint and their vehicle taken near the intersection of Grant Street and Irving Avenue, according to Sgt. Cody Guedry.

After the victim’s vehicle was taken, the victim was able to make it to a residence in the 1000 block of Grant Street and called the police, Guedry said.

When police arrived, the victim advised that they were approached by two black male suspects. At this time, the victim advised that one of the suspects is believed to be in his 20’s, wearing a red ball cap, and entered the vehicle armed with a pistol.

The suspects demanded the victim’s vehicle, at which time they struck the victim in the face, forcing them out of the vehicle. The suspects drove off in the victim’s maroon 2003 Chevy Malibu bearing paper tags 78D7256, last seen south on Irving.

The victim sustained injuries to their face and knee. The victim was transported to Baptist Hospital for treatment.

The Beaumont Police Department is urging the public to be on the look out for this stolen vehicle and to notify the police if located.
