Cars For The Cure benefits American Cancer Society


Gulf Credit Union has announced it will host the Cars For The Cure Car Show and Contest in cooperation with the Tri-City Corvette Club.

The event will be Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to Gulf Credit Union’s office in Groves between Highway 73 and 39th Street. There is no charge for admission.

Attendees can enjoy a barbeque lunch provided by Eaton Meats for $5.

The Car Show and Contest is open to all makes and models of cars, trucks and motorcycles. The fee to enter a vehicle is $15, which includes one meal ticket.

Registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the day of the event.

The community is invited to attend and vote for their favorite car, truck, or motorcycle. The top 10 winners will be determined by the popular vote.

Voting ends at noon. At 2 p.m., winners will be announced and awards presented.

The proceeds benefit the Relay for Life Program of the American Cancer Society.
