Christmas tree drop-off will be available at Magnolia, Rogers, and Sprott Parks through Jan. 12, the City of Beaumont announced Dec. 28.

In Rogers Park, the drop-off area is in the parking lot facing Dowlen Road, indicated by posted signs.

The waste department picks up the trees regularly, City of Beaumont parks and recreation director Jimmy Neale said.

The city offers this program to residents as an alternative to discarding their old Christmas tree on the curb, which can clutter streets, according to Neale.

"It’s probably been done probably 20 years," Neale said. "I know at least 15 years we’ve been bringing our [tree] [t]here."
