Nine-time Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow will headline the 35th Christus Health Foundation Gala on Saturday, April 18, at the Beaumont Civic Center. The black-tie benefit provides an opportunity for an intimate evening of entertainment starting with cocktails at 7 p.m. followed by a gourmet meal at 8 p.m., all leading to a world-class performance at 9:30 p.m. by Crow.

Individual tickets are $375 and are available by calling (409) 899-7555 or online at christushealthfoundationsetx.org. Tables for eight are available for $3,000.

“We are thrilled to have Sheryl Crow as our entertainment this year,” said Ivy Pate, Christus Health Southeast Texas regional vice president – philanthropy. “This evening will be a musical experience our supporters will remember for years to come, and we are so excited to have her participate in this fundraiser.”

With more than 50 million albums sold, Crow’s music reflects a variety of genres, and fans hear that in her dozens of hit singles like “Leaving Las Vegas,” “All I Wanna Do,” “Strong Enough,” “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday Is a Winding Road,” “A Change Would Do You Good,” “My Favorite Mistake,” “The First Cut is the Deepest” and “Soak Up the Sun.”

She was a track star in high school as well as a member of the National Future Farmers of America before going on to graduate from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in music composition, performance, and education. She was a kindergarten music teacher then sang jingles in commercials for companies such as McDonald’s.

Crow is also a breast cancer survivor.

The night of the event, the foundation, along with Gala chairs Elizabeth and Russ Waddill, will pay tribute to the Wilton P. and Effie Mae Hebert Foundation and its president, James Black. The Hebert Foundation has been a longtime supporter of world-class healthcare services close to home through projects such as Effie M. Hebert Pediatric Center and the Wilton P. Hebert Health and Wellness Center at Christus Hospital – St. Elizabeth.

“This event ensures the vision of the Sisters of Charity to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ lives in the work of Christus Hospitals,” Pate said. “The foundation is truly grateful to our business, foundation, and individual supporters for their contributions.”
