Civil Rights Summit to stream live at Price Auditorium

The LBJ Presidential Library at the University of Texas will host a Civil Rights Summit on April 8-10 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Lamar University College of Arts and Sciences and the Departments of History and Political Science are proud to offer live streaming in the Dr. Richard L. Price Auditorium at the John Gray Center in the Herman Iles Building on the Lamar University campus. 

The Summit, comprised of afternoon panel discussions followed by evening keynote addresses, will reflect on the seminal nature of the civil rights legislation passed by President Johnson while examining civil rights issues in America and around the world today.  Everyone is welcome to join in watching this historic event as it happens.
