Classic Southeast Texas Receives Distinguished Spindletop Award

“Do the right thing – on time, every time.” That’s been the driving principal behind Classic Southeast Texas since the beginning. It’s this firm commitment to earning trust in all areas of the marketplace that has helped make Classic Beaumont’s oldest automobile dealership – they’ve been in business for more than 80 years.

The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce will recognize Classic’s integrity and business practices with the distinguished Spindletop Award this week.

The award also recognizes Classic owner Ken Ruddy, who brought a strong sense of duty and service from West Point when he joined the Classic team in 1956. Ken was an original member of the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas, accredited since 1989 and honored by the BBB for his instrumental role in organizing the Southeast Texas chapter.

As an active supporter of the local Catholic Church and Diocese, Ken’s respect for strict ethical and moral standards inform both his personal life and his managerial duties. Ken is also a Paul Harris Fellow and has been a member of the Beaumont Rotary Club for more than 50 years.

Classic General Manager Bryan Case says, “Classic is honored to have such a committed community leader like Ken Ruddy at the heart of our management team.”

The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce will bestow the Spindletop Award Thursday, October 20, at the Beaumont Civic Center.
