Over $4,000 was donated to Meals on Wheels by JK Subaru Wednesday, April 12 at Nutrition & Services for Seniors.

According to a press release, for every new or leased Subaru sold between November 16 and January 2, Subaru donated $250 to a choice of charities that benefit their community.

Nutrition & Services for Seniors delivers hot, nutritious meals to 1,300 homebound seniors in Jefferson and Hardin counties every weekday. For many seniors the daily visit by a Meals on Wheels volunteer is the only human contact they have all day. In addition to delivering meals, the program provides these seniors with a daily check on their health and well-being.
