Detectives, K9 find heroin after search warrant

Police say one man is in custody after they executed a search warrant at the Spanish Villa Apartments in Beaumont.

According to a BPD press release, at approximately 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, Narcotics officers were assisted by Beaumont's Special Assignments Unit and a K9 officer in executing a narcotics search warrant. Upon entering and securing the home, police found more than 15 grams of heroin, pre-packaged and in pill form ready for sale on the street.

The bust was the culmination of two month's worth of police work and investigations, the press release said.

Police arrested 57-year-old Michael Dalco of Beaumont during the search and booked him into the Jefferson County Jail on possession of a controlled substance. His bond is $15,000.
