Detectives seeking witnesses to Calder Street incident

Several vehicles were damaged when a male suspect rammed into them with his car Feb. 22, reports the Beaumont Police Department (BPD).

According to Officer Haley Morrow, officers responded to the area of Calder and West Lucas shortly after 5 p.m. and found the suspect still inside his vehicle with the doors locked. The man allegedly refused to exit the vehicle and made numerous threats to harm others. He was ultimately taken into custody. The suspect, identified as Kevin Boyle, a 54-year-old Beaumont man, was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the Jefferson County Jail, charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Several vehicles damaged during the incident were not on-scene when officers arrived. Detectives ask that anyone who witnessed the event or whose vehicle was damaged but not yet reported call (409) 832-1234.
