Election 2012 early voting totals roll in

Early voting is in full force in Jefferson County. 

As of Thursday Nov. 1, approximately 57,587 citizens voted since early voting began Oct. 22 with the highest concentration of voters casting ballots at Rogers Park in Beaumont, according to the Jefferson County elections website.

In 2008, Jefferson County voters hit the polls almost as hard. 53,953 citizens voted early at locations throughout the county. 

Friday Nov. 2 is the last day of early voting at the following locations throughout Jefferson County. Polls close at 7 p.m.:

Beaumont Courthouse, Main Location, 1001 Pearl St., Beaumont

Port Arthur Sub Courthouse, 525 Lakeshore Dr., Port Arthur

Rogers Park Recreation Center, 6540 Gladys, Beaumont

Port Arthur Public Library, 4615 Ninth Ave., Port Arthur

Theodore Johns Library, 4255 Fannett Rd., Beaumont

North End Community Center, 3580 E Lucas, Beaumont

Nederland Recreation Center, 2301 Avenue H, Nederland

Groves Recreation Center, 6150 39th St., Groves, Texas

Effie and Wilton Hebert Library, 2025 Merriman St., Port Neches

Jefferson County J.P. Pct 4, Bldg 19217 FM 365, Beaumont

Early voting ends Nov. 2 before election day Nov. 6. 

According to the Jefferson County elections department, the county currently has 16,782 Democrats, 11,509 Republicans and 118,936 registered as “other” for a total of 147,227 registered voters.
