Elmo Willard Library's summer reading program activities
As part of the Beaumont Library system's summer reading program this year, the Elmo Willard Library announced their activity schedule in a release. All activities are free and open to the public.
• June 8 at 10:30 a.m. – Art-to-Go: Andy Gardner with the Art Museum of Southeast Texas will work with the children on an art project.
• June 15 at 10:30 a.m. – The Science of Bubbles: Hands on bubble experiments presented by Texas Energy Museum held at the John Davis Community Center located next to the Elmo Willard Library.
• June 22 at 10:30 a.m. – Geebo: Magic show
• June 29 at 10:30 a.m. – Big Thicket park ranger: Big Thicket will present a hands on learning experience with a park ranger.
• July 6 at 10:30 a.m. – Snakes: “The Snake Man”, Clint Pustejovsky will educate and entertain
• July 13 at 10:30 a.m. – Sand Sculpture: Be prepared to get dirty! Bring your tools and the sand will be provided. Popsicles will be provided.
• July 20 – Blast-Off: Rockets made with Alka-Seltzer – they really fly!
• July 27 – Smart Brain: Team up so some brain challenging activities and a short safety presentation.
