A 38-year-old federal inmate has been sentenced for assaulting a prison guard in the Eastern District of Texas, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston March 28.

Montreal Delaney, of New Orleans, pleaded guilty on June 1, 2016, to assaulting a federal officer and was subsequently sentenced to 33 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Ron Clark.
