FEMA in Beaumont

FEMA representatives are in Beaumont and will be going from house to house in areas that flooded during Tropical Storm Imelda, according to BPD.

They will educate and assist with Disaster Assistance registration by answering questions and helping those who are unable to register online. FEMA representatives have shirts or vests with the FEMA logo on them.

If the resident is not home a flyer will be left with assistance information. All citizens that were affected by flooding from Imelda can still register online at disasterassistance.gov or call (800) 624-FEMA (3362).

FEMA asks residents who call to have the following information readily available: the address of the damaged property, directions to your property, the condition of your damaged home, any available insurance information, your social security number, phone number and address where you get mail.

Disaster funds can be sent directly to a bank account. FEMA only requires a bank account type, account number and bank routing number. Registered residents will be given a FEMA registration number, which will be needed to keep track of any assistance given.
