Fire in Beaumont at Concord Homes
Investigators believe a malfunctioning air conditioner is responsible for a fire Sunday afternoon, Beaumont Fire Rescue reports.
According to a news release from BFD, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a structure fire at the office building of Concord Homes at 2020 Cottonwood at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 29. When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was visible and flames were licking out from one window. Firefighters forced entry into the building and were able to confine the fire to one room.
The building was not occupied at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. The fire appears to have been caused by an air conditioner malfunction, BFD reports.
