Flash flood warning


The National Weather Service is calling for a Flash Flood Watch for Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana until 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21. 

According to information from the weather service, at noon on Thursday radar had indicated up to three inches of rain had already fallen along Pine Island Bayou in Northwest Jefferson and Southwest Hardin counties with the activity moving slowly east across Beaumont. An additional one to three inches of rain is expected.

Some locations that will experience flooding, according to the NWS, include Beaumont, Lumberton, Silsbee, Kountze, Sour Lake, Nome, Saratoga, Bevil Oaks and China.
