Fleeing 4-wheeler crashes into fence

Police in Vidor caught up to one of two men reportedly fleeing on four-wheelers after stealing one from a local wrecker service Oct. 18.

Vidor Police Department Officer Brodie Fischer reports he and another officer responded to Ray's Wrecker Service at 21004 Interstate 10 in reference to a theft at 3:49 a.m. Upon arrival, Fischer observed two four-wheelers, one towing the other, driving down West Freeway. The officers attempted to stop the ATV's, but the driver of the four-wheeler in front did not pull over. Instead, stated Fischer, he drove onto the West Davis Loop and continued through a field. He did not get far, however; he soon crashed into a fence in the field. Both four-wheeler drivers jumped off the ATV's and fled on foot, described Fischer.

Police pursued the suspects but lost sight of the driver of the second four-wheeler. They caught up with the driver of the four-wheeler in front that had been towing the stolen ATV and arrested him for driving without a valid license, theft, criminal mischief, theft of service, criminal trespass and evading arrest in a vehicle. They identified the suspect as 35-year-old Marcus Lee Biscamp of Spurger. Biscamp was taken to the hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the Orange County Jail.
