Flooding in Orange County

Examiner correspondent Brenda Cannon Henley took this photo in Mauriceville off Hwy. 12 around noon Friday, July 13. Officials have placed that area, and other parts of Orange County, under flash flood warning until 3 p.m. with more rain predicted for the next five days.

Some Orange County residents are having to wade through water to get to homes, Henley reports. In Vidor, drainage ditches are spilling over, making for high water on roads. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution.

Also in Vidor, many Entergy customers have reported power outage. To check on power outage areas, and to see where Entergy crews are working to restore service, the company has an online tool for use through their Web site: urlviewoutage--entergy--com.rtrk.com/tx.aspx.
