Fundraiser for injured paramedic

Fundraiser for injured paramedic

Beaumont EMS is hosting a fundraiser for one of its paramedics who was severely injured while rendering aid at a car crash on Purple Heart Memorial Bridge in October.

Kenan White has been a first responder for more than a decade, and was struck by a vehicle after he stopped to help several people involved in a crash. White suffered multiple life-threatening injuries, including a head injury, broken back, severely injured left hand and multiple broken ribs.

To help mitigate White’s medical expenses, Beaumont EMS will be selling $10 pulled-pork lunch plates that comes with a sausage link, potato salad and desert. Pre-orders can be made until 5 p.m. on Dec. 6, by calling (409) 880-3922 or emailing standwithkenan [at] gmail [dot] com. Delivery is available on orders of 10 or more plates.

Plates can be picked up from Beaumont EMS Station #2 at 3020 Municipal Drive from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
