Police and Crime Stoppers are still searching for four men who robbed a local game room last week, Beaumont Police Department Carol Riley reports.

BPD officers responded to an aggravated robbery at the Joy Luck Game Room in the 1400 block of Washington Boulevard shortly after 12:30 a.m. on March 29. Two female victims told officers they were playing on the machines in the far west side of the business when they were approached by two black males with dark ski masks and guns. The robbers forced the women to get down on the ground and give them all their money. The women cooperated, and the suspects fled with a large amount of stolen money.

Riley said other people who were robbed during the incident didn’t stay and make reports to officers, but the incident was captured on video. At least one of the suspects was unmasked and smiling in the video. Police report there were at least four black male suspects involved in the aggravated robbery.

In a separate incident on March 29 at about 11:30 p.m., a game room on Magnolia Street was the target of a robbery, BPD Officer Tony Harding reports. Officers responded to a report of the robbery in the 4700 block of Magnolia and discovered that two men, a slender black male and a heavy-set black male, had entered the business and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects fled the scene.

"I don't think the robberies of the two game rooms are related," said Harding. "The descriptions of the suspects are completely different."

No arrests have been made at this time, and police are working to identify the suspects.

"We'll catch up to them," Harding asserted.
