HCSO arrests Most Wanted

Saturday, July 6, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Angela Beth Rigsby, who had appeared on the county’s Top 5 Most Wanted for assault.

According to a HCSO release, deputies located Rigsby at the home of the victim, a family member Rigsby is accused of assaulting. On June 19, Hardin County deputies responded to a residence on Old Spurger Highway, north of Silsbee. There, the victim reported to authorities that Rigsby had been abusing drugs and wanted to borrow her car. According to the victim, when she refused to let Rigsby borrow the car, Rigsby got irate and began strangling her before she was able to get away and call the sheriff’s office. The press release states that the victim suffered some non-life threatening injuries during the assault.

Although they were unable to initially detain her after the assault, deputies caught up with Rigsby Saturday, July 6. She was arrested and taken to Hardin County Jail, where she was arraigned by Judge Kent Walker and released on a $5000 bond Sunday, July 7.

Hardin County Sherrif's Office has added another wanted suspect in Christopher Aaron Venn. Venn, 24, is wanted for felony theft and assault. His last known address was 5980 Wheeler Road in Lumberton. If you have any information regarding Venn's whereabouts, please contact HCSO at (409) 246-5100.
