Head-on injures three in front of Fred post office

UPDATE (11/7): The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has confirmed that Trevor Stephenson Gray, 25, of Vidor, was pronounced deceased this morning by the medical staff at St. Elizabeth's hospital.

There are no additional updates on the medical condition of the other injured victims.

On Nov. 6, at about 6:45a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a two vehicle crash on FM 92 in Tyler County in front of the Fred post office, Sgt. Stephanie Davis said in a release.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 2009 Toyota passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on FM 92. The driver of the Toyota crossed the center dividing line and collided head-on with a 2013 Kia passenger vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota, a 25 year old Vidor, was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth's hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Kia, a 28 year old Hemphill woman was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth's hospital with serious injuries.

The woman's two children, ages 3 and 9 years of age, were also transported to St. Elizabeth's hospital. The 9-year-old child sustained minor injuries. The 3-year-old child was properly secured in a car seat and did not have any visible injuries, but was transported for observational purposes.
