Jefferson County searches for dangerous fugitive

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a dangerous fugitive, 23-year-old Carlos Efren Rodriguez. He is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and should be considered armed and dangerous. No attempt should be made to detain him.

According to a news release from sheriff’s office, Rodriguez is accused of shooting his girlfriend's brother and her uncle and assaulting a third person in the 2800 block of 10th Street in Port Arthur on March 29.

Rodriguez is described as 5-foot-6 in height, weighing 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on the location of the wanted fugitive should call Crime Stoppers at (409) 833-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1000 for information resulting in the arrest of Rodriguez.
