Murder: police investigate Orange homicide

While investigating a call regarding a disturbance on Pine Street in Orange, officers discovered the body of a young man who had apparently been shot in the chest, reports Capt. Robert Enmon of the Orange Police Department (OPD).

In a news release, Enmon revealed that officers responded to 111 Pine St. at 8:13 p.m. Sept. 28 to investigate multiple calls reporting shots fired at the location. When they arrived, they found 20-year-old Jeremiah Aaron Klinkhammer of Orange County deceased, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Justice of the Peace David Peck pronounced the victim dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy.

No arrests have been made at this time, Enmon stated in the release. The investigation is ongoing.
