Benefiting Buckner Children and Family Services
Saturday, April 26, from 3-9 p.m., The Music Studio of Beaumont will be hosting an event in which arts will come together in an extraordinary way. There will live be music from great bands and 20 of the countries best guitar and piano players, great food, classic cars, artistic demonstrations, raffles and much more on display for all to enjoy.
The main stage live performers will include Silas Feemster, Raw Hunny, Karma and Lamar Jazz Quintet. Some of the performances on Orleans Street will consist of human statues, glassblowing, live music, acrobatics, and much more.
Twenty-five registered classic cars attending with more expected. Some of the food vendors in attendance will be Jamaican Cajun, Mimis Cuban and boiled crawfish.
The Music Studio is now in discussions to offer free music lessons to those at Buckner. Also, the studio will donate 10 percent of funds raised at New Orleans on Orleans to Buckner on April 26.
About The Music Studio
The Music Studio is a local music company with a far reach. Currently, The Music Studio has 2 million views worldwide on educational music videos on YouTube. Looking to showcase some of its young talent, the Music Studio has a 7,000-square-foot facility in the historic Kyle Building on Calder. They teach guitar, piano, harp, bagpipe, drums, vocals, violin, songwriting, banjo. They also exhibit art, with works from some the area’s best artist. Sale proceeds go to the artist. It is the Music Studio’s goal to bring the arts together, and help artists along the way.
Buckner Children and Family Services of Southeast Texas
Buckner Children and Family Services is a Christian ministry devoted to protecting children, promoting independence and building strong families. Since 1970, Buckner Children's Village in Beaumont has served hurting children, and Buckner currently provides care for children through foster group homes on campus and therapeutic foster homes throughout Southeast Texas. Also located on campus is an Emergency Shelter/Assessment Center, the first place a child is taken after being removed from a parent or caregiver's home due to abuse.
