"In its eighteenth year of awarding competitive grants, the Foundation is pleased to make these grants to deserving local charities.  We want to thank these great organizations for the work they are doing in our community," said Mellie Bevilacqua, executive director of the Foundation for Southeast Texas.

The grants given by The Foundation for Southeast Texas impact the nonprofit organizations greatly and provide a way for the organizations to continue their work for the greater good.

“It allows us to provide a summer day camp for our children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.” said Teri Hawthorne, executive director of The Arc of Greater Beaumont. “It allows us to provide a summer day camp for our children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This camp is so special to these children and parents because it is a way for them to feel included in their community and also have the camp experience in a safe and secure environment that the Arc provides.”

The grant received by the Arc of Greater Beaumont fully funded the camp and is appreciated by the community for who it supports.

“We love the foundation and we love Mellie and what great work she is doing to promote the foundation and our community,” said Hawthorne.
