OC sheriff calls e-mail a hoax

Orange County Sheriff Keith Merritt has notified citizens that there is an e-mail being distributed warning people not to transport children found crying in the street to a residence. "This specific e-mail is not from the Sheriff’s Office and has been identified as a hoax. Sheriff Merritt would like to remind all citizens to remain alert and cautious. If placed in a situation that doesn’t appear right, contact the Sheriff’s Office." That number is (409) 883-2612.

I noticed that several of the BISD buses have a small brass plaque that has Thomas written on it.
#302 is one. I am assuming that is the name of the company that the bus was purchased from. Is this company owned by a realative of Dr. C. Thomas?
