One-vehicle rollover on FM 256

At approximately 9:45 p.m, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, there was a one-vehicle rollover on FM 256 in Tyler County. The crash occurred just north of US 190.According to Trooper Stephanie Davis, a passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on FM 256. For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guardrail. After colliding with the guardrail, the vehicle rolled over several times before coming to rest in the roadway.The driver was trapped and had to be extracted from the vehicle. The driver was transported to an area hospital by medical helicopter. At this time, the extent of her injuries are unknown.

FM 256 was briefly closed in both directions to safely remove the vehicle from the roadway, and was reopened.All information is preliminary, as the event is still being investigated. There are no more details at this time. 

UPDATE: The driver of the vehicle that crashed on FM 256 in Tyler County has been identified as 60-year-old Trudy Jennings of Colmesneil. Jennings was driving a 2008 Chevrolet SUV at the time of the crash. She was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital by medical helicopter.  However, her injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
