Open casting call in Bmt seeks 12 year old boy for lead role in major feature film

Vicky Boone Casting is holding an open casting call for funny, imaginative and out-of-the box boys, ages 11-13, for a lead role in an upcoming father-son story.

This film, currently referred to as The Untitled Jody Hill Project, is co-written and directed by television writer/director Jody Hill (Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals) and stars Josh Brolin (True Grit, Everest) and Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down). The boy will play Josh Brolin's son in the movie. The film shoots in Asheville, NC from late October through late December 2015.

The open casting call will be held Sunday, October 4, 2015 in Beaumont at the Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitor Center, 5055 Interstate 10 Access Rd, from 2-4 p.m. Kids will be seen on a first-come, first-seen basis. No acting experience is necessary and no appointment is required. If cast, monetary compensation will be on the scale of professional actors.

For story purposes, the agency is looking for a Caucasian male, age 11-13, who fits the following description:

*”True” 12-year-old

*Open to different “looks” and body types

*Out-of-shape kids are a plus

*Experience on the guitar is a plus, but not necessary

*Open to kids with no acting experience
