Orange election narrows

City of Orange elected representatives accepted recommendation to cancel elections for City Council Member District 2, At Large Council Member Place 5 and At Large Council Member Place 6 on April 12. The Council decided to call off the elction of those positions since all three races are uncontested. The unopposed candidates are City Council Member District 2, Cullin Smith; At Large Council Member Place 5, Bill Mello; and At Large Council Member Place 6, Charles Guillory.

The only contested race for the city of Orange is that of City Council Member District 4, which has incumbent Mayor Pro Tem Jimmy Sims vying against challenger Annette Pernell.
