Orange police searching for Dollar General robbery suspects

Police in Orange are searching for two suspects who robbed a Dollar General at gunpoint July 10.

According to a news release from the Orange Police Department (OPD), officers responded to the Dollar General store at 5725 16th St. in reference to a robbery at 10:06 p.m. Police learned that two suspects armed with handguns held two employees at gunpoint and took an undetermined amount of money from the register. Both suspects fled the store on foot prior to officers' arrival "within 4 minutes of the initial call," report police. Neither employee was injured during the robbery.

Witnesses described the first suspect as wearing all black with a black jacket and a gray hood, OPD reports. Witnesses told police the second suspect was wearing a silver, black and white camouflage-style jacket with a hood. The robbery is currently under investigation by the OPD Detective Division.
