Orange woman arrested for death of sisters

The Orange County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-year-old Amanda Jean Lewis, of Orange, for the November 2010 deaths of Cristin, 12, and Katie Grubbs, 11, on Monday, March 14. 

According to the Department of Public Safety, Lewis' blood alcohol level was over the legal limit at the time of the accident, when she crossed into oncoming traffic on Highway 105 in Vidor, crashing into the vehicle of Grant Grubbs, of which to sisters were passengers. The girls died at the scene and their father suffered broken ribs.

Lewis was arrested for two counts intoxication manslaughter and bond was set at $50,000.
