Pet of the Week: Amber

Do your dreams include a corncob pipe, a straw hat and a porch dog? Well, country Ma or Pa, we have the dog to fill in the porch-dog portion of your dream! Her name is Amber and R-E-L-A-X-E-D doesn’t begin to describe the unperturbed posture of this sprawled-out pup. She does move! Her soulful brown eyes reach out to you and say, “Take me home to your cabin in the woods!” Amber was dumped with her mother, and she and her brother, Allen, are now three and a half months old. Amber weighs 14.2 pounds, is tan in color and she has those soulful brown eyes. Amber would make an excellent family dog. With proper training, Amber is likely to adapt well to a family routine since she is so young. She will need a large fenced yard, and don’t forget the porch because after all, Amber is a porch dog.

The adoption fee is $115 for mixed breed dogs over 20 pounds, and $175 for pure breeds and dogs under 20 pounds. Pure breeds under 20 pounds  are $225. This includes first round of vaccinations, bordetella vaccination, worming, flea treatment, spay or neutering and a veterinary wellness exam. All animals will be spayed or neutered before going to their new home. Adoption is a 15-year commitment. Please adopt responsibly.
