Police arrest felon in possession of a stolen firearm

Beaumont police have apprehended a felon in possession of a stolen 44 Magnum.

On Sunday, July 8, at 1:32 AM, Beaumont police were called to the 3600 block of Lorilee after someone reported hearing gun shots. Officers arrived and found a man sitting in his garage. After speaking with the man about the shots that were heard, the officers determined that he had a warrant. After arresting him for the warrant, police found that he was in possession of a stolen 44 Magnum. The suspect was also found to have what appeared to be crack cocaine and marijuana in his possession.

The suspect was booked into the jail for felon in possession of a stolen Firearm, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and warrants.
